Rehabilitation Counsellor / Community Addictions Worker
Provides individual and group counselling for clients in the areas of alcohol, other drugs and gambling.

Qualifications required: University Degree Social Sciences, preferred Bachelor of Social Work and two years counselling experience, completion of the Applied Counselling Certificate specialization in Addictions considered an asset.

Prevention Education Consultant
Responsible for providing a range of prevention, education and Counselling services related to the addictions field.

Qualifications required: University Degree social sciences, two years experience and/or suitable combination of education and experience, Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.

Residential Care Worker
Provides supportive and custodial care for clients in residential rehabilitation facilities; 24 hour shift work required.

Qualifications required: Combination of education and experience working in a residential facility; Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.

Nurse
Professional work of specialized nature in the care and treatment of chemically dependent clients in a residential facility.

Qualifications required: Bachelor of Nursing, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse; Minimum 3 years of experience.

Administrative Assistant
Responsible for the design and development of administrative and office requirements for a region or department.

Qualifications required: Completion of a recognized training program from a business or community college; several years experience in administrative work, including office management.

Researcher
Provides leadership, design, development and coordination of high quality research services and joint research projects focused on addictions.

Qualifications required: Masters Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Medicine or Social Work; considerable course work in statistical analysis and research methodology; minimum 5 years of experience.

Research Assistant
Responsible for the research, development, administration and analysis of proposed statistical data and/or research and evaluation projects.

Qualifications required: University Degree in social science; three years research experience; excellent computer skills, statistical and program analysis techniques.

Cook
Responsible for performing kitchen duties and daily meal service for clients in the residential rehabilitation facility, and those attending the day programs.

Qualifications required: Graduate of a recognized cooking course at the Technical or Community College level, plus 2 years experience. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Good Service, Sanitation Standards, including Personal Hygiene and Kitchen Safety Policies. Must be physically capable of performing assigned duties and able to lift and carry weights of up to 40 lbs.

Library Technician
Responsible for the awareness and information programs delivered through the library. Serves as a resource to the staff and public accessing the library.

Qualifications required: Completion of a recognized Library Technician Certificate and three years of related library experience. Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff, related agencies and the general public. Good keyboarding and computer skills.

Secretary
Provide secretarial and administrative support and perform general office duties (e.g. correspondence, reports, accounts payable processing, mail duties, reception) and carries out assignments with limited direction following normal routines.
