The Addictions Foundation of Manitoba is pleased to announce that it has been awarded with a decision of Accredited with Commendation following a thorough assessment of its services by surveyors from Accreditation Canada.
Every four years, AFM undergoes this voluntary assessment of our programs and services. Health care accreditation helps identify what an organization is doing well and where to focus its improvements efforts. This recent assessment was AFM’s fourth on-site survey as part of its participation in the accreditation process with Accreditation Canada.
“I am extremely proud of all the staff at AFM for this tremendous achievement” said Ben Fry, Chief Executive Officer. “Accreditation challenges us to meet national standards of excellence, continually putting our clients and families first and always improving the quality and safety of our services.”
Progress is already being made toward the recommendations made by the accreditation surveyors.
